The Dutch Connection: From Putten to New Amsterdam and Beyond!
When searching for your earliest ancestors arriving somewhere in the world, it’s sometimes worth looking for a branch you may not have considered. Jan Whitaker will be sharing the story of her earliest ancestor in the Americas, Cosyn Gerritsen van Putten, a very early Dutch settler in New Amsterdam, known today as New York City.

Jan’s presentation will begin at 2 pm, followed by a short break with coffee/tea and then the business part of the meeting will commence.
