So many events, So little time….

July is set to be a big month for family history.

There’s the VAFHO Annual General Meeting & Seminar on Friday 20th July at PROV, North Melbourne if you’re a brave soul and don’t mind the Friday afternoon traffic.

National Family History Week is from 27th July to 5th August this year, and the Family History Feast on 30th July at the State Library of Victoria is a free event and if it’s anything like the Family History Feast in 2011, it’s an event not to be missed!

Of course, we’ve got our own Annual General Meeting on July 14th with Professor Janet McCalman from the Founders and Survivors Project and we’re doing our bit for National Family History Week with an Open Day on Thursday 2nd August. You can check out all the events throughout National Family History Week on the website. Events are listed by state and then postcode order making them reasonably easy to find.

And of course, further down the track there’s the South East Victoria Family & Regional History Expo on Saturday 1st September at Cranbourne. It’s going to be a fantastic event so don’t miss it (even if we do say so ourselves) and then there’s History Week 2012 from 21st to 28th October, events are already being listed on the site.

I am looking for my younger sister Patricia Barnett commonly known as Pat. The last time I saw her was for 2 weeks in 1993 prior to that was 1972. A lot of water and family bad words, life has brought us all to this seoaration. I am now 661/2 years old and Pat wilk be 60. I would love to see her one more time before life takes its toll on any of us. I am sorry if years ago I hurt any of my whole family but hurt also works 2 ways as I was emotionally hurt as well. My sister lives some where in Narre Warren Victoria Australia.

    • Hello Robert,
We hope you find Pat, if she contacts us we’ll pass the message on – we have your email, it’s just not published on the website.
Would you like us to share this on our Facebook page?
      Lynne
