The Lorraine Taylor Research Room (LTRR) is manned by 2 volunteers at each session who can help you with your research and the use of the computers and family history software. We have computers plus a microfiche reader and microfiche, books, magazines, newsletters and various other resources. All our resources are catalogued and our volunteers are there to help you find the resources you’re looking for.

We are a FamilySearch Affiliate Library and have access to Findmypast and Ancestry courtesy of Connected Libraries.

Our holdings include digital and hard copy books, newsletters and magazines for Victoria, Australia and the UK.

Many of our Casey Cardinia books and newsletters have been indexed by members for our Casey Cardinia Combined Index which is available to search in the LTRR. Our volunteers can assist you with this.

Our catalogue of books, magazines and newsletters can be browsed or searched at TinyCat.

Our catalogue of archival and reference items can be browsed or searched at Victorian Collections.

*Please note that on the third Saturday of the month during May, June, July, August and September the Research Room will close at 1.30 pm for a 2 pm general meeting start.

We welcome visitors!

It’s not necessary to be a member to use our facilities, we will happily accommodate visitors in the research room and our volunteers will offer the same guidance and help to every visitor as they do members. There is a $5 visitor’s fee per day for non-members.
