We operate a research room at the Narre Warren Library and currently have 3 sessions a week. The room is manned by two volunteers at each session who can help you with your research and the use of the computers and family history software. We have 4 computers plus microfiche readers and microfiche, books, magazines, newsletters and various other resources. All our resources are catalogued and our volunteers are there to help you find the resources you’re looking for.
Our Research Room is at:
The Family History Room, Narre Warren Library, Overland Drive, Fountain Gate.

Visitors:
We welcome visitors!
It’s not necessary to be a member to use our facilities, we will happily accomodate visitors in the research room and our volunteers will offer the same guidance and help to every visitor as they do members. All we ask is a $5 visitor’s fee per session.
Not sure if we’re the right place or group for you? Then why not pop in anytime we’re open and have a chat with our volunteers and get them to give you a quick tour of our resources and then decide – and of course, we won’t charge you for the chat, we only ask a fee if you come armed with pencil, paper and notes, ready to do serious research.
Information sessions:
We sometimes hold friendly and informal information sessions in the research room to enable members and visitors to use our holdings to their best advantage. Morning, afternoon and evening sessions are available to members at no cost and visitors for a $5 fee.
Please contact Jane, our librarian to reserve a place at the next session
