Early history of trains and buses in Casey Cardinia area

To all train and bus enthusiasts, you will be excited to hear our speaker Steven Haby from the Prahan Mechanics Institute. Steven is a railway and bus enthusiast and he will inform us on the history of trains and buses within the Casey Cardinia Area. All visitors are welcomed to attend. Afterwards you can join us for an afternoon tea and our general meeting.

Cemeteries: bringing history to life seminar

We’ve got a fabulous day planned for anyone with an interest in cemeteries, and let’s face it, that would include most family and local historians. We start the day off at 10 am with Jan Rigby and Lois Comeadow from Brighton Cemetorians who are going to tell about Friends of Cemeteries groups in general, and their group in particular. Bunyip Cemetery Tour: Life and death on the edge of the swamp

Elisha Stephen Grose was the winner of the second running of the Stawell Gift in 1879.  Elisha is one of the local identities that are interred at the beautiful and historical Bunyip Cemetery.
