Death is not the end of a story; the records can give you clues that can some times unlock a family secret or confirm a story. A visit to a cemetery can tell you more than the date of death. Dead men do tell tales.

There’s just so much to find at PROV. Join us for a quick look at the records most of us start off with like Wills and Inquests and then we’ll look at some of the others.

1.45–2.45: Historical societies and how they can help you with your family history presented by Heather

Heather Arnold knows a lot about historical societies. Historical societies probably know something about your ancestors. If not, they certainly know something about the district and life there at the time your ancestor might have lived and or worked there.
