The Topic for the July workshop is researching South Africa, India and Burma, all colonies of the British Empire. Many of our family are connected to these British colonies.The information that will be conveyed in this lesson is pertinent to all that have British ancestors sailing to Australia.

This lesson will allow you to learn about the type of records freely available for the British colonies of South Africa and India, encompassing Burma.You will not only learn about research material available, it will walk you through how to use these records in a simple step by step method.  One will learn that the principles of this lesson can be applied to other countries of the world.
